Well, here we are. Thirteen days into my 30 for 30 challenge. If you have no clue what I'm talking about, or what the heck a closet capsule is, check out this post from a few weeks ago. I'm basically seeing if I can make it the entire month of April with only 30 items of clothing- including shoes.
Before I start showing you tons of pictures of myself from these past few days, let me just put out a disclaimer: I am NOT a fashion blogger. Do not come to me seeking fashion advice. I will most likely point you in the direction of some of my more fashionable friends. So while I do not expect you to look at these a-MAZ-ing selfies and think to yourself, Dang, Leah needs to work for Vogue or something... they are more taken as proof that I am making this whole capsule idea work.
If you read my post from last week, you know I am very intrigued by this idea of living with less. By starting with my closet, usually one of the first things I look at everyday, I was hoping my mindset would change to a more simple, "less is more" outlook. If I can say one thing about this 30 for 30 idea, it definitely has accomplished that goal.
I have spent way less money these last few weeks than normal- spending money literally just on groceries and bills. There's something about working with such a small, humble wardrobe each day that makes me feel silly buying things I don't absolutely need. To be completely honest though, this capsule seems so much smaller than when I started. I don't know if I'm going to make it these next two weeks! The biggest thing is It's WAY warmer this April than I expected it to be. I haven't even worn three or four of my items yet and I'm thinking about just switching them out. 80 degrees?? For real??
So here you go people. The PROOF. I have not been cheating. Clearly, not the best selfie taker, but I think it gets slightly better.

Day 1: Woke up super early this morning to do some work in Camden. Weekend tee- I think this will be my "Saturday Outfit."
Day 2: Sunday. Church. Sleeveless top and black cardigan.
Day 3: I actually did wear shoes this day. Sneakers to be exact. Lots of running around after kids (my nieces and nephews were over in the morning) and tried my best to be active on this day.

Day 4: This face is because it was 74 degrees today!! Babysat my girlfriend's kid so I wanted to stay comfy. But seriously, such a beautiful day.
Day 5: Wednesday- work day. Out and about.
Day 6: Visited a new client today. Magnolia Silos tee all the way.

Day 7: A bit chillier. Stayed home with my girl. First maternity shirt of the pregnancy! This one is from Gap and I LOVE it.
Day 8: Saturday Outfit. Nuff said.
Day 9: Sunday best.

Day 10: I slacked. I worked a bunch in the office. Didn't cheat with clothing but it was stinking hot. No picture for you.
Day 11: I switched in a pair of black shorts for a sweatshirt dress I don't think I'll be wearing. It was 83 degrees today!!! Yah! Babysat at home, had people over after dinner. Looked like a happy slob all day :)
Day 12: Workout day. Dave and I did a 21-day-fix video after dropping Riley off at school and it kicked my butt. Haven't been able to work out like that in awhile. Must be 2nd trimeter energy kicking in.
Day 13: This is my "I'm about to be an AUNT again face!" My brother's wife had their baby this morning! Heading up now to see him. Pics to come soon!!
Okay everyone! Check back in as the month progresses to see if I'm able to tough it out! And if you do this with your closet, please let me know and give me some tips or encouragement! Gotta go squeeze a baby now!

Here is a little family pic with a proud aunt, uncle and cousin Riley with sweet baby Andrew. :)
